The primary responsibility of this position is to generate grant and contract billing and assist in the evaluation of the financial performance of the site.

Responsibilities: • Generation and submission of grant and contract funding requests • Ensure timely collection of all site related receivables • Assist the Site Operations Manager(s) in ensuring financial activity complies with all internal Policies and Procedures as well as all Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements • Ensure that all financial activities are in alignment with grant applications and awards • Assist Executive Director/Site Director and Site Operations Manager in the preparation of site and grant budgets • Assist with grant budget modifications when necessary • Monitor the site, program, and grant financial performance and coordinate with the National Office on any necessary action items • Assist the Site Operations Manager in preparing and submitting funder required financial reports • Perform other necessary site-related accounting functions • Participate in staff meetings and report on financial status of site • Participate in site activities and special projects as assigned

Job Requirements Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field • Non-profit experience in related field preferred • Knowledge of OMB Circulars • Experience working with Non-Profit Fund Accounting Software (MIP preferred) • Must obtain valid Driver’s License and proof of current auto insurance • Strong oral and written communication skills • Strong computer skills • Professional manner and appearance • Ability to work independently and within a team • Ability to take direction United States Veterans Initiative is a non-profit organization whose mission is the successful transition of military veterans and their families through the provision of housing, counseling, career development and comprehensive support
